Vanguard: Saga of Heroes is a free to play MMPORPG by SoE that was originally released in 2007 and was created by a team of developers that includes Brad McQuaid, Co-Creator of EverQuest and executive producer of it's first 3 expansions, Kunark, Velious and Luclin. Since going free-to-play the game has become quite a bit easier but is still a fairly challenging experience. It's probably the best game since old school EverQuest and one I recommend to you guys since I think some of you guys would probably enjoy this game.
About the game:
Vanguard: Saga of Heroes has 19 races and 15 classes to choose from. The classes are subdivided into 4 groups; protective fighter, offensive fighter, healer and caster.
Here are the classes with a link to their description and abilities next to it.
Just log into your station account(can use same one you used for EverQuest) and click on the "play free" link on the main page. After downloading the launcer run it and let it download and update the game; this will likely take several hours. Once done log into the game and create a character. Only one server for this game so don't worry about being on the wrong one.

What we were doing on Vulak'Aerr during Velious and Luclin was more hardcore than Vanguard ever was.
